CMS becomes OHMS!
Oak Hill Middle School opened in August of 2019.
The displaced students in grades 5-12 finally had their homeless dilemma solved with major construction in Oak Hill. New buildings were built for middle and elementary students. Collins 5th graders went to the renovated New River Intermediate (grades 3-5), a new school was built for Pre K-2 (named New River Primary) and the Collins name was retired as the new OakHill Middle opened to fanfare for grades 6-7. Neighboring Oak Hill High on this campus was remodeled as well, and received a new gym for the 2021-22 school year.
